Hours, tickets, address: the essentials first
The Rodin Museum opens Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 6:30 pm, with a last entry at 5:45 pm and a ticket office that closes one hour before closing. It is closed on Monday. The address is 77 rue de Varenne, 75007 Paris, at the Hôtel Biron. Full price is €14.
Two combined tickets exist and are worth knowing before buying separately:

These three locations are all on the same side of the Seine, making the combined ticket attractive for a single day rather than two.
The real reason to visit: the garden
Many visitors come for the galleries and are surprised by the garden. The sculpture garden is part of the visit and occupies the back of the Hôtel Biron, with its paths, pools and bronzes displayed outdoors. That’s where the pieces everyone has already seen in photos are, including The Thinker, The Gates of Hell and The Burghers of Calais, which the museum lists among its flagship works.
Our tip, and the one we give at the front desk: start with the garden, then enter the museum. At 10 am the paths are almost empty and the light falls nicely on the bronzes. After noon, the reverse order is more comfortable.
How much time to allow
One hour is enough for the garden and the main rooms, two hours if you read the labels and a temporary exhibition is on view. It’s a townhouse museum, not a labyrinth museum: you can tour it without getting exhausted, making it a good first visit in the morning.
If you only have a half‑day, we prefer to send you here rather than to Orsay. Orsay requires a real time slot and a queue. Rodin can be visited in a short time without feeling rushed.
From our place, avenue Duquesne
We are at 5 avenue Duquesne and the museum is on rue de Varenne, in the same arrondissement. It’s a neighborhood walk, not an expedition: you cross the Invalides area, between administrative facades and quiet residential streets, and you’re there.

The best time of year
We love this museum in late autumn and winter, when the garden is clear and groups are rare. In spring the bloom is nice but the paths are noticeably busier around midday. In summer, come at opening or late afternoon, never between 1 pm and 4 pm.
One final calendar note: Monday, it’s closed. That’s the most common mistake we correct when asked for a day‑plan. If your only free day falls on a Monday, keep Rodin for another stay.
Before you leave
The ticket office closes one hour before the museum, so arriving at 5:30 pm won’t give you a visit. Purchase your ticket online if you’re coming on a weekend. And if you arrive in Paris during the day: our rooms are available from 3 pm, and a late‑morning visit fits nicely before check‑in.
